- A sign of recovery perhaps - Sales of flooring in the UK rose last month, new figures have revealed.
A survey by the British Retail Consortium and accountancy firm KPMG for the five weeks between August 30th and October 3rd revealed that the sector was one of those to see a boost in its figures.
Made in Yorkshire
- A carpet firm based in the north of England has revealed that it is returning production of some of its products to the UK, due to the exchange rate between the pound and the euro. The company has decided to move production of its broad loom tufted carpet back to Britain because of the international financial situation, with these now being produced with a "made in Yorkshire" label.
